Chronic infectious, granulomatous and suppurative dermatosis, classified among the subcutaneous mycoses, caused by species of pigmented dematiaceous fungi, more prevalent in tropical subtropical regions traumatic implantation fungal species, where presence muriform bodies are an expression causal agent grafted tissue, characteristic chromoblastomycosis considered second mycosis world, it manifests itself with slow progressive growth lesions exophytic verrucous plaques black dots on surface. The disease is a neglected occupational disease, which occurs mainly agricultural workers, coconut babassu harvesters, lumberjacks traders products. It important to highlight that people at risk contracting work countries, temperature can be above 40 °C summer, generally refuse wear protective equipment during day (shoes, gloves, clothes), although they know this type prophylactic measure prevent different types diseases. These vulnerable often live low-income countries sometimes far from medical services and, once infected, do not seek attention. We report below exuberant unusual case lower limb history 18 years evolution. diagnosis was established direct mycological examination, culture microculture identified Fonsecaea histopathological examination.
